So today is a difficult day, simply because I’m trying to make the difficult decision to launch GEODE or to hold back until later in the year. Potentially much later.
I could launch on the first week of May, but there are so many unknown variables that make any decision incredibly difficult. We’re seeing a massive reduction in the number of new Kickstarter campaigns for a reason; people aren’t thinking about the games they will be getting in a year’s time; they want to focus on the games they have now!
A decision needs balancing against the fact that without a successful campaign I could so easily go under, but will a campaign BE successful when so many are focussing on the essentials?
And is launching even the right thing to do morally when so many are struggling?
I genuinely don’t know the answer today. But I know if that if I wait too long, that there will be a glut of new campaigns that will devour any chances I have of being successful.
I need to think about it some more.
